我们在使用沥青保温泵的时候一定要制定严格的技术维护保养规范，燃油滤清器工作100小时，油箱工作500小时各清洗一次，若发现滤芯破损失效应及时更换，不得将其拆除而采用直流式供油。偶件在正常工作条件下工作500小时应拆卸检查一次。在拆卸检查沥青保温泵时要保证场所、手、工具和清洗油清洁，以免偶件受污染。在拆卸操作时不得乱敲乱打，在清洗时不要乱堆乱放，不应和其它非偶件在一起盆洗，以免碰伤、擦伤。在装配时不得随意改变装配位置而达到某些不符合机器工作要求的目的。在装出油阀紧座和油嘴紧帽时，应按规定力矩拧紧，以保证装配后的喷油器和喷油泵技术状态的良好。弄懂偶件的结构特性和工作原理，加强和提高对偶件的维护保养、操作使用，做到无故障时不随意调整，维护使用时不随意拆卸，维修检查时不乱敲乱打，清洗保养时不乱擦乱碰，装配调整时不乱改乱拧，一切按沥青保温泵规范技术要求进行，以达到延长其使用寿命的目的。
